She wasn’t onboard to bare it all.
Katy Perry says her ex-boyfriend Orlando Bloom wanted her to strip down during his infamous naked romp on a paddleboard last summer — but she simply “was just not in the mood.”
“He asked me if I wanted to be (naked) and I just like — you know, it was one of those things where it was like, ‘Oh, nah,'” Perry recalled on Australia’s “Kyle & Jackie O” radio show.
Bloom, 40, sent the internet into a firestorm last August when photos emerged of him naked while on a beach vacation with Perry in Italy. Many of the paparazzi snapshots of Bloom’s unencumbered jaunt featured Perry — who remained clad in a bikini — including one showing the pop star sitting on the front of a paddleboard as her naked boyfriend rowed behind her.
Perry, 32, said she waited to lose her clothes until later, when they were on a private yacht.
“You know when you’re dating someone, sometimes it’s exciting to be like, ‘Oh, should we try and make out over here in this place?’ or what have you,” Perry said on the radio show. “And I was just not in the mood. I saved it for the boat!”
Perry’s recount of the cheeky vacation comes a little over two months after Bloom explained he never would’ve ditched his bloomers if he knew photographers were near.
“I wouldn’t have put myself in that position if I’d thought it would happen,” Bloom said in April to Elle U.K. “I’ve been photographed a million times in a million different ways. I have a good radar.”
“We’d been completely alone for five days — nothing around us. There was no way anyone could get anything. I had a moment of feeling free.”
Perry and Bloom, who were first linked together at a 2016 Golden Globes afterparty, broke up in February after about a year of dating.
