An American Bachelor contestant who was accused of having an 'inappropriate relationship' with a producer has slammed the show for 'recycling' storylines.

Rozlyn Papa, who appeared on the fourteenth season of The Bachelor in 2010, was infamously sent home by host Chris Harrison after a tense on-camera confrontation.

The single mother, 37, has now spoken out about her experience, after Australia's own Rachael Arahill was eliminated from The Bachelor under similar circumstances this week.

'It doesn't surprise me that they are recycling this drama,' she told Daily Mail Australia.

'It was huge ratings for them, and incredibly distressing for me,' she continued.

Rozlyn has always maintained that her relationship with Bachelor producer Ryan Callahan was never physical, and insists that 'the show absolutely manufactured the entire scenario.'

She added: 'I spoke out about it before the season aired, despite the contract I signed saying that I would be fined $5million if I talked about my experience on the show.'

'I spoke with an attorney who pointed out that, should they try to sue me, we would request the production company's B-roll footage, which would prove I was innocent.

'I rolled the dice and they never so much as sent me a cease and desist [letter].'

Rozlyn's alleged illicit romance was never captured on camera, and it wasn't until host Chris Harrison confronted her during a cocktail party that it came to light.

During 'The Women Tell All' episode at the end of the season, Rozlyn explained that she had grown close to the staff member because she was missing her son.

The producer had apparently supported her behind the scenes and allowed her to use his mobile phone to call home.

However, Chris has always insisted that the 'inappropriate relationship' took place, and even accused Rozlyn of 'sleeping downstairs' with the producer instead of in her designated bedroom with the other women on the show.

When asked if she would ever return to The Bachelor franchise, Rozlyn admitted that she had come close in the past, but ultimately decided against it.

'They had the nerve to repeatedly ask me to come back on the show, as well as all of their spin-offs. They are relentless,' she said.

'I briefly considered it,' she continued. 'They would send me contracts to sign, I would make a ton of changes, they would negotiate a bit. This happened several times over several seasons.

'It wasn't worth it, and I would only succeed in helping them increase ratings.'

Rozlyn also said that it was the tragic suicide of her former co-star and close friend Gia Allemand that turned her off ever returning to the franchise.

'After Gia committed suicide, my feelings about the show were solidified. She participated in more of their shows and it ate away at her,' she said.

Gia appeared on Rozlyn's season of The Bachelor in 2010, and then returned for the spin-off Bachelor Pad later that year.

In 2013, at age 29, she was declared brain dead following an attempted suicide by hanging and taken off life support.

Much like Rozlyn, Rachael also claims that her 'affair' with a crew member on The Bachelor was exaggerated by production.

While the 23-year-old personal trainer has been open about flirting with the crew member and having a crush, she insists that she never gave him her phone number.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Rachael said: 'I never actually gave him my number, that was taken out of context.'

Although Rachael denied handing her number to anyone on the show's team, she admitted to flirting with a crew member.

'I called him hot a few times, but I was never going to pursue it. The guy has a girlfriend,' she said.

She claims to have been 'set up' by production, adding that the crew member in question was actually on a rostered day off during the cocktail party, which proves that she couldn't have slipped him her number.

Wednesday night's episode told a completely different story, with a producer shown handing Matt Agnew a piece of paper to 'prove' that Rachael was interested in the crew member.

The 32-year-old astrophysicist was shocked by this 'evidence' and immediately confronted Rachael, saying there was 'no point' in her staying on the show and asking her to leave.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted ABC and Channel 10 for comment.
